The BFO makes its Bix debut on the 1920s-era band shell at LeClaire Park overlooking the Mississippi River.
|

Halfway through the band's second song ("Mississippi Mud"), a powerful super-cell thunderstorm rips through the park, forcing the BFO to flee the stage. Here the iconic "Bix Lives" sign (see previous photo) has blown off the wall and landed on the piano.

LeClaire Park was severely damaged by the storm - tents downed, PA system destroyed, two festival volunteers hospitalized. All outdoor performances had to be relocated indoors for the remainder of the festival.
